Plaintiffs, several homeowners, challenged restrictions pursuant to short-term rentals, alleging violations of their due process, First Amendment and equal protection rights, unconstitutional takings, unlawful search and seizure, and brought pendent state law claims. April Laws removed the case to federal court and brought a motion to dismiss the action. The Court dismissed all but three (3) of thirteen (13) causes of action. Shortly thereafter, Plaintiffs voluntarily elected not to pursue the action further by filing a voluntary discontinuance.
